Hey

If you want to be part of a truly original sound with catchy hooks and lots of energy, look no further!!!

We're Subrosa a three piece outfit currently on the lookout for a lead vocalist to front our band, we've been together since mid 2009 and have wrote and recorded a tonne of original material as well as playing covers and original gigs locally and beyond. At the moment we're all taking turns at vocal duties but to really free up our sound we've come to the decision we need a lead vocalist.

the ideal candidate would be someone preferably in your early to mid 20's as we all are. has decent vocal ability, stage presence, can contribute lyrically and musically and overall just an easy going dude.

some of our influences include:

Dick Dale, Pulp Fiction (soundtrack), The surfaris, Slacktone, James brown, The Melvins,The Meters, Chilis, Bloc Party, Jimi Hendrix, Kyuss, The Doors, The Who, Nirvana, Rage against the machine, Queens of the stone age, The Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys, The Police, Them Crooked Vultures, Sublime.....Etc

i think if i was to describe our current sound it would be a blend of Grunge, Funk with a pinch of 50's-60's surf music, although its constantly evolving.

we have rehearsal space and practice every other night or when everyones free and have gigs and recording lined up for the near future.
