Songwriter in Wairarapa seeks band members prog/pop

I'm looking for some initial help with song construction so ideally guitar/base/keys and then once we've got some good demos get a full band together. That's a plan anyway!

Bands I enjoy most are... Pink Floyd (Waters era), radiohead, Supertramp (Hodgson), REM, Nik Kershaw, Dire Straits, Regina Spektor, Keane, SJD. Mostly experimental pop but certainly not the thrashy metal direction which to me just sounds juvenile/lost..
