Heya (o:

We're The Shallowz so far a two piece outfit currently on the lookout for a bassist, vocalist and second guitarist to complete our line up, we've been together since mid 2009 and have wrote and recorded a tonne of original material as well as playing covers and original gigs locally and beyond in our previous band Subrosa, but since the departure of our bassist we are looking to revamp the band with new members and fresh musical ideas.

the ideal candidate's would be preferably in your 20's as we are.

for vocalist: has decent vocal ability, stage presence, can contribute lyrically and musically and overall just an easy going dude or dudesse.

for bassist: groovy, solid and creative.

for Guitarist: a great ear for melody but if you feel you have something to offer we'd luv to hear from you.

we're heavily influenced by Surf Rock, Funk, and Grunge but anything goes really, some of our influences include:

Slacktone, The Surfaris, Social Distortion, Chad smith's Bombastic meatbats, The Lively ones, Bloc Party, The Ventures, Dick Dale, The Pixis, The Shadows, surfer blood, The Melvins, The Meters, James Brown, Chillis, Sublime, The Police, The Cure, The Who, Zeppelin, Arctic monkeys, Motorhead, The Dead Weather, The Black Keys, Nirvana, The Ramones, The Sword..... Etc


we have a pretty sweet rehearsal space with recording facilities and practice every other night or when everyones free.
