Auckland bassist looking to start indie/alternative band

Title pretty much explains it all. Looking to either start or join an indie/alternative band. Some of my big influences are; The Clash, Gorillaz, Kings of Leon (mainly their early stuff) The Strokes, The Beatles, The Black Keys, Blur, Led Zeppellin, Local Natives, Two Door Cinema Club.... The list goes on.

I'm by no means an amazing technical bassist however am steadily improving and I have past gig experience playing with my current band: Sweet Jose (this hypothetical new band would be a chance to play a different style)
