I'm a Bass Player of 5 years looking for a band to play with. Just moved back to Auckland and after a long time in practically god-damn exile practising, recording material and jamming I'm keen to start up/join a good group of like-minded musicians who are just as eager to make it in the music world - and have a f***ing riot doing so!
The above bands are my main influences, but don't want to have a strictly covers band. Just want to be with others to share these interests with to be able to approach original and ground breaking material from a similar angle, and be on common ground with. So could go down the road of a house party type indie band like Bloc Party, Libertines or Foals. Could be a big bass rock/electronic fusion band comparable to Kasabian, Gorilliaz or The Prodigy. Or maybe try being a revolution rock type outfit such as The Clash or RATM depending on others tastes.
I also play guitar and synths so can change my roll up a bit and have the gear for all roles at my disposal.
Not too fussed about how much experience you have, just as long as there's a good chemistry and mean sounds to be made. I'm 19 so looking for others around my age bracket especially. Would love to get into doing house gigs at student flats! haha

My Soundcloud page contains rough recordings of the sort of sound I'm currently developing and the type of songs/riffs I can put on the table to mould with my bandmates. Will be uploading properly recorded material and whole songs when I can.
