Musician for gigging, album release and tour

Seeking musicians to play in rock band in support of an upcoming album release and tour. Gigs are already lined up, and more local gigs and a tour are currently being organised for the summer. Band is fronted by guitarist/singer Jake Stokes, and material will consist of songs from the album + covers.

We are looking for:

2 Guitarists, 1 Bassist, 1 Keyboardist (must have at least one back up vocalist in line-up)

Auditions will be held 9:30am – 1:30pm on Sunday 22nd September at The Back Paddock on Torrens Tce, Wellington. Auditions will include performing one of the songs from the album (sheet music and recording will be given on application, and yes guitarists, we have tab too), being taught another of the album tracks, and having a quick jam with Jake and the drummer. Musicians who can sing harmonies/back-up vocals are given preference. We will let musicians know if they are in the band or not on either the same day or the day after.

Musicians will need to be able to commit to regular rehearsals (likely Sunday mornings/early afternoons), and be able to commit evenings to playing gigs when they arise. Some gigs are already booked, and more are being organised along with a tour in the summer. Musicians must learn all the required songs within 2 weeks of auditioning. Sheet music (including tab) and recordings will be provided for originals, only recordings will be provided for covers. Musicians must be very good at what they do, have a professional approach, and would benefit in the band from having a sense of humour! Must be able to provide their own instrument (possibly amp too) and have their own transport within Wellington. We want to hear attitude in your playing, and see the ability to rock out on stage.
