Start a band - Wellington

Hiya everyone -

I'm a 23 year old Kiwi Asian female moving to Wellington next week. I picked up the acoustic guitar a few months ago so I'm still real amateur but I'm intending on learning drums as well once I move down and am really determined to put in the hard yards to really master the instruments.

Am super keen to start a band - preferably mixed, ie, with both boys and girls and the kind of music I'm interested in is soft rock/rock/punk, etc.

Dream is to one day play the guitar solo from My Sharona - The Knack!

Kia ora everyone, I'm also new to Wellington and keen to keep my passion for music and collaborating. My main instruments are piano/keyboard and clarinet - I do have a few other instruments but not too much to brag about there!

How have you guys gotten on? Any progress? Would love to join or hear how your getting on.
