Hey I'm a 16 year old guitarist from Wellington and I'm looking to start a new band. Anyone that plays drums, bass, sings, maybe keyboard. Preferably between ages 13-18 and has to be in the Wellington area. Influences include: AFI, Smashing Pumpkins, The Pixies, Linkin Park, Nirvana, The Beatles, The Misfits, Blindpott, Janis Joplin, lots of others.

Im in Christchurch and trying to start a rocknroll band.

Im 21 have been playing guitar and writing songs for about 3 years.

I like - The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, The Pixies, The Clean, The Undertones, The Clash and many more....

To tell truth, I don't really play anything...I sing though .I'm learning gituar (is that spelt right???) but I'm not too good at it.....I'd love to learn to drum though...anyway, back on topic... I LOVE almost any rock music. Mostly punk but all rock is good rock.
Bleeders, Linkin Park, Blindspott, Green Day...etc
Oh yeah...and I'm 15...nearly 16 though.....

man, how come no one's from wellington,there's gotta be somebody out there .
Oh and it's GUITAR. Yea those are real good bands aye, I'm really getting into the bleeders at the moment, fuck i can't wait to see them at big day out. And if you like rock, you should get into The Pixies, they will frikin knock you outta ya boots. But actually, they're more pop rock/grunge, but still good.

Anyway, c'mon wellington people, I hate to say it, but I'm desperate. Even if your just learning an instument, Help! I need somebody, Help! not just anybody, Help!....sorry I'm just really into the beatles...

Hey, I'm a female bass player in the Taranaki region. It's pretty far away from Wellington but not too bad. I can always catch the bus down or something.. I'm 13 (yes so young) and I'm into Nirvana, Rammstein, Cannibal Corpse, Smashing Pumpkins, Metallica, yeah, I like Metal and someday I'm going to meet Elmo, Dora the explora or Till Lindemann.
Yeah, it could be a bit too far away and the other problem is that I don't have a Bass until Christmas.... think about it though?

damm i play bass too but need a new one i might be moving to wellington but i much rather auckland.....

maybe you could ask the kids at your school if they would like to play in a band.....

Hey ruzhkal, yea sorry that is a bit far away, but thanks for the offer! And also the thing is, I found out our the drummer knows a bass player who'll probably be in our band, so woohoo!

But all we need now is a singer. I think this is gonna be the hardest because they need to be able to do these things:
1. Sing, of course! and in tune
2. Have a good vocal range
3. Have a distictive voice- perhaps the most important
4. Write good lyrics- emphasis on good

I know I'm kinda limiting my chances of finding a singer, but to me the singer is the most important part of a band. So even if you can only do some of these things, post a reply and we'll see what we can do...
