Rhythm Guitarist / Singer
For an existing band that is primarily a part time fun band but which plays paid gigs as well as charity and fund raising events (no pubs).
Type of music:
• Traditional Rock/n/Roll
• Some classic Rock/n/Roll from the 60’s to today
• Blues
• Country Rock
• Country
• Bluegrass
• Folk
• Other general acoustic stuff that take our fancy
You must:-
• Want to play music for the fun of it regularly
• Be able to sing backup harmony and lead on some material, and be happy to work with sound equipment.
• Be able to play good rhythm guitar.
• Be presentable, professional in attitude but fun loving.
• Be prepared to attend practises on a regular basis.
• Own your own, good quality instruments.
• Have your own reliable transport.
• Live in Auckland central, North Shore, West, or North West.
• Like, or be prepared to like a wide range of material as listed above.
It would be a plus if you can also :
Play one or more of the following instruments well enough to play lead breaks :
• Keyboards
• Mandolin family
• Fiddle
Age:
Not critical as long as you are old enough to drive or not so old that you can’t. However looking at the above music styles you are probably going to be past “young and stupid” but haven’t reached “old and doddery”
Sex:
Not an issue. We have both already.
