Wairarapa Band Spank are desperately seeking a new guitarist to join their line up.

Spank are a four piece band based in Wairarapa, with many influences, we have a high energy set of original music which has been described as cow punk, post punk, brit pop, that kind of thing.

Lead is sometimes played on the cornet so we don't need someone really strong in that area, but rhythm is a must, we are a very rhythmically oriented band and we use a lot of tempo changes and dynamics.

We have fun, the right person is more important to us that a guitar god, but it certainly helps if you've got great skills. We like to gig a lot, one of our members is a marketer so we have raised our profile quite a bit.

We also enjoy recording and regularly write new material and record EPs.
