Im a drummer looking for an already formed rock/alternative band

Hey guys, My name's Simon, Im 19 and Im looking for an alternative/rock band to play drums in. Im also hoping that the rest of the members are committed. My influences are Incubus, Eight, Opshop, U2, Eskimo Joe, The Feelers, The Killers, Green Day, Supergroove, Muse (I really love Muse) and probably a lot more... One thing I dont like though, is most kinds of metal and Im not a big fan of old school twenty minute guitar solos unless they give a really good feel to the music and not just for show off purposes. Well there you have it.

A bit about my experience: I started at the age of 13 in my forth form year and started getting lessons from the school drum teacher at Avondale College. I did all sorts of music at school including jazz, funk and a bit of latin. When I started getting more into Jazz which was in my 6th form year I started taking lessons from a Jazz drummer at Drumcity and then after I finished bursary I started taking drum lessons from a guy named Paul Russell (Session Drummer, Drummer for a kiwi band named Eight, Was the drummer for Supergroove when they were still around and he is also known as if not the best, one of the best all-round drummers in NZ). He is honestly the man, You should see him drum and right now Im still taking lessons from him.

My name's Stu and I'm currently in a band, we've had a line-up change recently (I was drumming, now I'm singing) So, are you still looking? We're in Auckland, we practice at the killing rooms (great north road) and it would be good to hook up with a drummer who has groove, feeling and passion, and on the whole is a good guy (being in a band IS a relationship!)
