Award winning drummer ex pat New Zealander Bruce Aitken returns "home" after 12 years over seas to present a series of clinics based on his soon to be released DVD "Keeping It Simple" - A practical guide to groove-based drumming.

Bruce will be starting his tour in the home town of his birth Invercargill on January the 11th 2006 and finishing the tour in Mt Manganui on Jan 26th 2006.

Bruce was recently on the cover of the premier New Zealand drum magazine Drum ConneXions and this sparked great interest in his return to New Zealand.

In 2004 Bruce won the coverted Musician Of The Year Award from MIANS (Music Ind. Assn Nova Scotia ) and has several ECMA (East Coast Music Awards) and Mians nominations to his credit.

Bruce will perform to tracks by award winning Canadian Blues artist John Campbelljohn, ECMA show case artist Andrea Curry, plus some traditional Cape Breton Music recorded with top fiddler Shawn MacDonald and key boardist Sheumas MacNeil (From the Internationally accalaimed award winning Barra MacNeils) as well as discussing groove drumming and technical asspects of drumming in general. He will also perform to a tune written by top Cape Breton singer song writer Angelo Spinazolla.

Bruce has recently recorded with the following Maritime Artists: John Campbelljohn, Ed Woodsworth, Joe Waye Jr, Project A.D., Andrea Curry, Peter Christmas Jr, "Red" Mike MacDonald and Eric Burke.
