A Pasifika Music Workshop hosted by the New Zealand Music Industry Commission will be held on the afternoon before Pasifika, at a venue adjoining the festival site. This workshop is open to anyone to attend.

Following last year's successful fono, the workshop will feature leading Pacific Island musicans and artists such as Nesian Mystik, Ladi 6 and Loli, and an industry panel featuring top names in the music business, in a question and answer format. There will also be a practical soundcheck session at the festival site.

A music industry handbook will be provided to everyone that attends.
