Wellington-born and raised actress Michala Banas, star of Australian drama 'Always Greener', has signed a record deal and will release her debut single, 'Kissin' The Wind', in May.

The track was written by Shelly Peiken (who has penned hits for John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, Meredith Brooks, Christina Aguilera, *NSync and Celine Dion to name a few) and was produced by Australian producer Craig Porteils (Bardot, Diesel and Savage Garden).

The 24-year-old has been with 'Always Greener' for the past two years and hopes to juggle her music and TV career.
