The International Music Managers Forum in association with the New Zealand Music Industry Commission presents the Music Managers Forum (MMF) seminar series:

The New Zealand branch of the Music Managers Forum (MMF) will officially launch during the last week of New Zealand Music Month in May.

The International Music Mangers Forum (IMMF) was formed to represent the worldwide community of music managers at the international level. New Zealand is the 12th member country to become part of the IMMF.

Our main objective is the defence of, and promotion of, the interests of music managers and their clients, the featured artists, who represent 95% of the economic activity generated by the music sector throughout the world.

As part of the launch a series of seminars will be run in conjunction with the New Zealand Music Industry Commission. The seminars will be an open forum discussion style chaired by Mark Roach and featuring guests Michael McMartin, Bill Cullen and Cath Andersen (see bios below).

Membership registration will be taken at each seminar. All seminars are FREE of charge and run from 6-8pm.

We encourage all managers and interested parties to attend and learn more about the IMMF's activities. Membership forms to join the IMMF will also be available at the seminars:

Monday 26 May - Arc Cafe, 135 High Street, Dunedin
Tuesday 27 May - Dux de Lux, 41 Hereford Street, Christchurch
Wednesday 28 May - Indigo Bar, 171 Cuba Street, Wellington
Thursday 29 May - Kings Arms Tavern, 59 France Street, Newton, Auckland

- Michael McMartin (Melody Management - Hoodoo Gurus, Brooke McClymont) is the Professional Development/International Manager for the IMMF and was awarded the MMF Lifetime Achievement Award for outstanding achievement in artist management last year.

- Bill Cullen (One Louder Management - Alex Lloyd, George) is on the board of the Australian MMF and was recognised for outstanding achievement at the 20002 MMF Annual Recognition Awards.

- Mark Roach (Muse Entertainment - Damien Binder) is the New Zealand MMF co-ordinator. He is also a founding member and board member of the Independent Music Association of New Zealand.

- Cath Andersen is the Director of the New Zealand Music Industry Commission. Previous to this she was tour manager for Flash Tours.
