APRA To Award Waiata Award Posted: Mon Jun 23, 2003 10:56 am For the first time ever, APRA is to hand out an award at this year's Silver Scrolls for Best Waiata. The precise criteria are still being finalised, but the song must be an original composition (melody and lyrics) and must have been released in the 12 months to 31 August 2003. It must also be substantially, though not necessarily exclusively, in Te Reo Maori. Entries close on 1 September 2003. The winner will be announced at the Silver Scroll Awards at the Auckland Town Hall on 28 October. |
