Six Day War are a band worth checking out! If you don't see them at the Battle of the Bands, they'll be playing an ALL AGES show at the Brass Hall in Takapuna, North Shore on Saturday 11 October... only $4 to get in. Then they'll be playing at the 8 Foot Sativa album release party at the St James on Friday 17 October with Subtract and of course 8 Foot Sativa.

Aparently Ryan Kershaw is quite good too. I saw him in his old band paradox with the drummer he'll be playing with. The drummer is a cool guy also... and so is the band he techs for, Indicator Dogs Razz

I have this weird story about the drummer from 6daywar. I was walking around in town minding my own business, about to go home when this guy came up to me and said something about my Iron Maiden shirt. I was like 'yeeeaaahhh' then we started talking about bands etc, I asked him what he was going to do, and since I had crap all else to do I just went along with him to buy paper stuff.
he said he was in this band '6 day war' and told me he was in the battle of the bands, I was thinking I would go but ended up going to visit relatives down in whakatane while the battle was on.
I just went to get some lunch with my mum today and saw the poster for the battle of the bands and thought I would check it out to see if his band got through...
looks like Ill be going on sat to support them, just for something to do and cause he was a really cool guy too.
I wish them well.

Funny... it's off a side street off K Road on Galatos Street. Is it mercury lane... I believe it's the next one over but maybe Mercury Lane links up?

I don't know... I just know where it is.
