Assistant Editor/Advertising Manager wanted.

Mel is moving on soon, so New Zealand Musician magazine urgently needs to find someone for the key production role of Assistant Editor/Advertising Manager.

Applicants will need to be experienced journalists who have a range of office management skills and the ability to communicate well with a broad cross section of our music industry. Reliability, attention to detail and a sense of humour are also essentials. A genuine enthusiasm for NZ music is, of course, a given.

The role is focused exclusively on the print version of NZ Musician which is published bi-monthly. It includes managing the editorial content, liaison with contributors, record companies and musicians as well as dealing with our regular advertisers.

Previous experience in print media editing is important as the position encompasses the complete range of skills needed to compile and print a quality magazine. Some knowledge of our music industry would be a major bonus. NZM is independently published from a central Auckland office.
