Powertool Records release new recordings from four of NZ's musical icons Posted: Tue Oct 23, 2007 5:10 pm Robert Scott - Tascam Hits Robert Scott, one third of the legendary Clean and frontman from jangle pop band The Bats is back with a solo album called Tascam Hits ....Train comin' round the bend.... Robert Scott keeps on goin'....album number, um lost count. This is his Krautrock Album of sorts, well in parts. Home Recordings from Port Chalmers, with that unique Tascam cassette compression. More info...... http://www.powertoolrecords.co.nz/tascamhits.htm One Man Bannister - Moth Moth is a CD of songs written and performed by Matthew Bannister (ex Sneaky Feelings, Dribbling Darts of Love, author of Positively George Street) over the period 2002-2006. It was put together using just a computer, a guitar and a voice at his (former) home in Sandringham, Auckland. And there's plenty more where they came from. "I've probably demoed almost a hundred songs, so these are the tip of the iceberg," he says. More info ..... http://www.powertoolrecords.co.nz/moth.htm Bill Direen - Human Kindness Bill Direen has been making and releasing music since 1975. Besides being an extremely gifted musician and innovative songwriter, he is also a respected writer and poet. After a prolific time of releasing some fine albums throughout the eighties and two respective compilations through Flying Nun in the early nineties, he is back with this new album 'Human Kindness'. This is his third release through Auckland Indie Label Powertool Records. "Music in New Zealand Magazine" - Article by David Eggleton. Otis will be doing a national tour throughout November with Bill Direen.
