Sheila E, one of the world's most respected percussionists, in association with NZ Rockshops, will be hosting a Percussion Clinic at the noise conference, being run by Parachute Music, next weekend.

Backed by the Superband, Sheila E. will be sharing tips and techniques on what it takes to be the top in the industry.

Sheila E. is a multi-faceted drummer, percussionist, vocalist, songwriter, performer, arranger, producer, composer, and instrumentalist. From age 17, Sheila E. has recorded and toured extensively with renowned artists such as Babyface, Billy Cobham, Natalie Cole, George Duke, Pete Escovedo, Gloria Estefan, Marvin Gaye, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Nicks, Patti LaBelle, Prince, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, Ringo Starr, Tito Puente, Don Was, Stevie Wonder and countless others.

The Percussion Clinic is being held at UNITEC, Carrington Rd, Mt Albert, Auckland in the Sports Stadium on Saturday 24th April from 11.45am - 12.45pm. Tickets are $20 and available from NZ Rockshops or at the door.

Sheila E. and the Superband will also be performing at noise...the concert on Saturday Evening 24th April, 7.00pm. Tickets are available on-line at http://www.parachutemusic.com.

Noise is a conference presented by Parachute Music, aimed at up-skilling and inspiring singers, musicians, songwriters and worship leaders along with technical and support personnel.
