Jam In The Gym Cancelled

E-mail received today:

Sophie Ruthven - a 16 year old student from Pinehurst College has been working extremely hard over the last 3 several months to organise JAM IN THE GYM a fundraiser for Starship - in which she has spent a huge amount of time having operations.

With thanks to all of you, we had successfuly created enough publicity to have interest from potentially up to about 3000 students and general public.

Pinehurst have told Sophie 2 days out from the gig that they feel that security for this event will not be good enough to stop people wandering through there grounds creating havoc etc - even with hired security, and have announced they will no longer support the gig, and will no longer have the gig in their grounds. It would have been nice if they could have raised this issue before we went to such lengths.

It is too much of a task to relocate the event at such short notice, so Sophie
has had to cancel JAM IN THE GYM.

Thankyou so much to all of you who helped so much towards a dud event - and huge apologies to those at starship who wont be benefiting from this.
