Dates: 22 June, 29 June, 6 July, 13 July, 20 July, 27 July, 3 August and 10 August
Time: 8pm
Venue: The Penguin Club, Oamaru

The Penguin Club is holding an 8-week sound course on the dates listed above. This course is designed to teach you how to set the club up for a performance using the equipment that the club has. This course will give you the skills that are relevant to many sound engineering tasks.

Frequencies, Hearing, dB, Rooms, 31 band equalisers

2) Microphones:

All types and their use

3) Cables:

Microphone, unbalanced, speaker, snakes

4) Amplifiers and Speakers

5) Mixers:

Hand on mixing

6) How to EQ a fold back speaker

7) Recording

DAT, Mini Disc, 8 Track, Computers

8 ) Hands on with live band
