The workshop is in 2 parts:

Dore Peters, registered Clinical Psychologist will cover the ins and outs of what happens from a psychological perspective for the audience during a performance and for the performers. This is incredibly valuable stuff and will make a lot of things fall into place for even the most experienced performer.

Learn why things like the following just don't work:

- Telling your audience off for talking
- Apologising on stage
- Looking to your audience for approval

and what you should do instead.

Then Rita Stone, actor/director will cover:

- How to use your and your audience's energy effectively
- How to warm up for performance
- The importance of connecting with your audience and how to connect with your audience
- The most effective way of introducing your songs

and lots of other important info and exercises.

The front man for York Street Studios Acid Test 2003 winners Goon did this workshop just in time to win the Acid Test and says this of the experience "For me this was a weird and wonderful experience helping me to better understand the psychology of performing. I learned heaps and am all the wiser for it!"
