Business Development Manager

Are you an experienced Business Development Manager passionate about expanding the local independent music market?

The Business Development Manager position is a new role for a person who is looking for the opportunity to work with a passionate team of people who are dedicated to growing the market for local independent music both domestically and overseas.

If you are the right person for us you will have:

• strong experience working in either the music industry or a related creative field
• strong experience working at an executive level and managing projects, timelines, budgets
• a high level of experience working in finance, including experience with cashflow, financial spreadsheets and detailed budgets
• the ability to report to a Board of Representatives and be able to take direction on goals and achievements
• the ability to generate ideas and goals of your own to be presented to the Board.
• Excellent communication skills and personal presentation
• Experience in a goal and business driven environment

Key responsibilities include:

• Presenting the Organisation to the wider music, industry and government sector
• Identifying, creating and implementing plans to increase service and operational fees for the organisation
• Generating revenue, and developing and executing plans for a long term strategy for the Organisation’s financial independence and stability
• Creating and executing a one, two and five year business plan for the organisation
• Establishing and maintaining existing relationship and networks with the music industry, Trade Associations, and other relevant parties.
