Dunedin based music website www.dunedinmusic.com has recently upgraded its management system and one of the exciting new implementations is in the area of the heavily used and popular gig guide. Artists and venues can now upload gigs directly to the site themselves.
Up until now the site relied on receiving emails about gigs, and often large volumes of information to be processed meant delays in getting gig info listed.

Rob from Dunedinmusic.com comments:

"We are a small, very busy operation and trying to funnel all the gigs through our team was frustrating for us and caused delays which meant double handing in some cases. We are really pleased the upgrade has allowed more interactive use by the musicians and venues. Our new system is working well so we are quite chuffed really. This does make it really easy for people to get their gig info out there."

The new system where a registered user simply "submits a gig" on the gig guide page means the details are delivered direct to the dunedinmusic.com database and goes through a simple verification process.

Gig info is now fresher than ever before and www.dunedinmusic.com has reaffirmed itself as the place to go for all things about Dunedin music.
