Music 09 is the name being given to the 2009 Music Education Conference which will be held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Christchurch July 6-10 this year.

Organised by a group of local music educators affiliated to Music Education New Zealand Aotearoa (MENZA), the aim of the conference is to promote, develop and foster music education across all levels of schooling.

Sponsors are still being sought for the event, the keynote speaker for which will be Dr Pamela Burnard of the University of Cambridge, UK.
