Warner Music NZ announce license deal with KMR Recordings Posted: Tue Oct 20, 2009 12:44 pm WARNER MUSIC NEW ZEALAND ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE A LICENSE DEAL WITH KIRSTEN MORRELL’S KMR RECORDINGS Warner Music NZ are proud to announce a license deal with Kirsten Morrell’s KMR recordings, including the release of Kirsten’s very own solo debut album ULTRAVIOLET. Phil Howling, General Manager of Warner Music New Zealand, says “We are very excited to be working with Kirsten on the release of her first solo album ULTRAVIOLET. Kirsten is a multi talented artist that we have admired from a far for some time, so the opportunity to finally work with her and her label is something we are very much looking forward to.” After 10 years of writing and recording with the multi-platinum band Goldenhorse, Kirsten Morrell is going solo... although no-one can get by without a little help from their friends. Goldenhorse collaborator Geoff Maddock can be heard of a range of instruments throughout the album, and Jol Mulholland co-produced the album with Kirsten. The special partnership between these three musicians has resulted in a vibrant new album, befitting of the ULTRAVIOLET title. The first single ‘Cherry Coloured Dreams’ has just hit the airwaves and the finishing touches are being applied to ULTRAVIOLET, set to shine in early 2010.
