The deadlines for the submission of entries for the APRA Silver Scroll Award, APRA Maioha Award and the SOUNZ Contemporary Award are approaching.

The deadline for the Silver Scrolls is Friday 10th of September. The awards will be presented for the first time in its history in Wellington on Tuesday the 26th of October. It carries a prize of $5000 and is judged by an industry panel purely on creative criteria.

The Maioha Award is for excellence in contemporary Maori music and carries a $3000 prize. The deadline is also the 10th of September.

The SOUNZ Contemporary Award recognises the excellence of NZ composition in the field of "contemporary classical music". The Award is sponsored by APRA and managed by the Centre for New Zealand Music. There is a cash prize of $3000. The deadline for entries is the 3rd of September.
