$1000 cash prize for winning artwork

Auckland's Media Design School is hosting a competition for urban artists to showcase their skills with a spray can, and battle it out for a cash prize of $1000.

The competition is part of the 2004 K Road Karnival and kicks off at 12.30pm Saturday 4 December.

Artists from Disrupt Gallery will be giving a demonstration in the lead up to the competition.

Media Design School is a major sponsor of the K Road Karnival, a 24 hour celebration of local culture, art and music.
