MANAWATU PEOPLE'S RADIO - Broadcast 24/7 - 999am - (Manawatu via Radio - Worldwide via Live Stream) Official Website Live Stream What they do: Manawatu People's Radio promote music through their Palmy Sounds Initiative - broadcasting locally made music every hour. They participate in NZ Music Month - hosting local artist discussions and interviews. Manawatu People's Radio also promote local music through their Sounds of Summer Concerts in Jan/Feb comprised of local acts. Any act with a local link to the Manawatu is eligible to apply. Check out Sounds of Summer for more info. Some programme makers also prefer NZ content, so contact them and they can point you in the right direction. Manawatu People's Radio are a member of the Association of Community Access Broadcasters in NZ. They encourage your participation to make a radio show or podcast with them/your local Access Station. Access Radio Stations provide broadcasting training and opportunities to their communities who are interested in making programmes by, for, and about their culture or common interest. They are governed by the Manawatu Access Radio Charitable Trust, and supported by NZ On Air. What they need: Make sure your recording is of a reasonable to high standard (for broadcasting purposes), and you can email Dropbox invitations, download codes and/or any other information.
