Smokefreerockquest 2005 North Shore regional finalist winners The Midnight Youth will perform alongside renowned NZ band AUTOZAMM.

The live concert is part of the music mentoring programme supported by the Ministry of Education and part of their tasks for Smokefreerockquest.

The Midnight Youth are also ecstatic to have got into the final 12 of the selection process of Smokefreerockquest this week. The decision of who is going to make it into the final eight will be decided next week.

At this stage of Smokefreerockquest the 44 regional finalists (two from each of 22 regions throughout the country), are completing set tasks, including running their school gig and recording their songs on video tape. The regional finalists are narrowed down to twelve semi-finalists, and from this group the eight top bands will be selected to compete at the Smokefreerockquest National Final on 3 September 2005 in the Wellington Town Hall.

I was there today. AWESOME gig, Scott has the best voice I've heard in a long long time. I left after they went offstage, all the talent had left as far as i was concerned... Just my personal opinion. Can't wait til they win Rockquest.
