Full Chrome Logic, supported by Vorn Colgan and Zack, return to Katipo Cafe on Friday 24 February at 8.30pm ($5 on the door).

Full Chrome Logic

A unique entity in the Wellington music scene, Full Chrome Logic broadens the standard palette of rock instrumentation with strings and brass in addition to organ, guitars and drums. Atmospheric instrumental numbers make up the bulk of their output, featuring layered, textural guitar work, driving drums and rich string harmonies. Vocals in several songs help to bring a focus to the group's live performance, which has been described as "the soundtrack to a really good movie".

Full Chrome Logic originally began life in August 2004 as an experimental noise duo. The band has since expanded and evolved into a more structured ensemble, and while still remaining true to its improvisatory origins, their music now is a mixture of transcendental instrumentals and intense songs. Members are Charley Davenport (cello), Thomas Liggett (guitar and synthesizer), Aaron Mackle (drums), Stu Sharpe (guitar), Asha Stewart (electric violin), and Chris Wilson (guitar, vocals and cornet).
