While the band eagerly waits for their fourth studio album to be returned from Sweden where the final touches are being made before release, 8 Foot Sativa will be carving up Auckland’s’ main drag with their heavy style of kiwi metal.

8 Foot Sativa will be playing a free gig on Saturday March 18, 2006 as part of a protest gig to end Youth-based discrimination, casualisation, and a minimum $12 hour legal minimum wage. It is being referred to as the "Big Pay Out".

The gig will be held at Myers Park, Queen St, Auckland, include bands of different genres and it is expected to draw 8-10 thousand people. This afternoon gig will also feature Stylus and Shona Laing.

Myers Park is across the road from Real Groovy Records or down the steps from Allelujah Cafe in K’Rd.
