Englebert Humperdinck - Let There Be Love - Tour 2006
Posted: Sun Mar 26, 2006 10:31 am
Engelbert Humperdinck is still the undisputed "King of Romance", delivering each line with his unmistakable sensual sounds that have earned him the title. Romance has served as a core of his music and lasting success, and he knows how to pick songs with eternal themes of love and longing. He first hit the charts back in 1967 with "Release Me", followed by "There Goes My Everything", "The Last Waltz", "A Man Without Love", "Les Bicyclettes de Belsize", "Winter World Of Love", and many more.
His unique voice and style has made him a legend in the international music industry for the last thirty plus years, with over 130 million records sold.

Andrew McManus is proud to present Engelbert Humperdinck in Concert in June 2006. Tickets are on sale from Monday April 3.
Engelbert Humperdinck has recorded everything from the most romantic ballads to the platinum-selling theme song "Lesbian Seagull" for the Beavis and Butthead movie. His sense of humour has endeared him to millions of fans around the globe and the MTV generation has just "discovered" what a magnificent musician the rest of the world has celebrated for decades.

Few people realise that several of the major forces in the world of rock n' roll, including Jimi Hendrix and The Carpenters, started as opening acts for Engelbert Humperdinck in the late 60's, 70's and 80's. With four Grammy nominations, a Golden Globe for "Entertainer of the Year" (198Cool and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, he might rest easy on his laurels. Hardly. In the past few years, he has joined an elite group of musical artists, such as Tony Bennett and Burt Bacharach, who have crossed over successfully to strike a new chord with a younger generation in addition to their core audiences. The Humpster has appeared on several MTV programmes in the past, including two appearances on "MTV Beach House", "Chilling with the Weaze" and "Oddville." His popularity boasts the world¹s largest fan club, which has been estimated in the vicinity of
8-million members.
