Rockstar: Supernova announce NZ tour

Fans of reality television show Rockstar: Supernova have a chance to see the band in action during a three-date New Zealand tour scheduled for March next year.

The band, whose singer Lukas Rossi was chosen by worldwide audience votes during the course of the TV3 show, will play concerts in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

Lukas was a controversial choice, and many felt Australian competitor Toby Rand should have been chosen to front the band.

Rockstar: Supernova consists of Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke and lead vocalist Lukas Rossi.

Former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted was recently injured and is out of action for nine months. The band is looking for a suitable replacement.

Lukas Rossie will also visit New Zealand for a promotional tour on November 13. The band's debut album is scheduled to be released on November 20. The first single is called It's All Love.

Toby Rand's new band Juke Kartel will be supporting Rockstar: Supernova on their tour.

Rockstar: Supernova play Christchurch's Westpac Centre on March 21, Wellington's TSB Arena on March 23 and Auckland's Vector Arena on March 24. Tickets for the gigs are on sale fromNovember 13.
