You want attitude? Well Auckland stages will be dripping with the stuff, as Kasabian strut, swig and swagger their way into town for what's going to be one hell of a sweaty summer.

Taking time out from their Big Day Out appearance, the cocky Leicester lads will be kick-starting the party-to-end-all-parties in Auckland with their own headline show.

Name-dropped by The Killers, covered by Jet and joined on stage by Noel Gallagher, Kasabian grabbed 2006 by the jugular with their second album, Empire. A UK No.1, nominated for Best Album at the 2006 Q Awards, and adored by fans across the world, Empire furthered the Kasabian plan for world domination that has been evident since they burst onto the scene in 2004 like guerrillas armed with a musical hand grenade.

Now, just two albums in, Kasabian - singer Tom Meighan, guitarists Serge Pizzorno and Jay Mehler, drummer Ian Matthews and bassist Chris Edwards - already possess more anthems than a band rightly should: 'Reason is Treason'; 'Club Foot'; 'Shoot the Runner'; 'LSF'; 'Empire'; 'Processed Beats'.

Sleek, metronomic, sexy as heck, haemorrhaging white noise. That's Kasabian on wax and on stage. "Now we've got the second album we will be untouchable," says Tom. "We're making people feel amazing.
