Boh Runga, Carly Binding unite for shows

Kiwi musicians Boh Runga and Carly Binding are joining forces to play an intimate series of shows in Auckland.

The pair will play four shows - one every Thursday during July - at Auckland's Montecristo Room.

Both have fronted bands: Runga is the front woman for Stellar*, while Binding was a member of infamous reality TV show girl band TrueBliss.

Performing together is something the pair have always wanted to do, Runga said.

"We've haunted enough Auckland bars together over the years and doing a few songs together in one of them is something that has taken far too long to happen," Runga said.

Binding said she was looking forward to the concerts.

"I am looking forward to joining in on a few of Boh's songs and seeing what she can add to mine," she said.

"And every week we will have a different special guest to join us on stage for a song or two."
