Kamahl Announces NZ Tour
Posted: Thu Sep 20, 2007 5:59 pm
Acclaimed international entertainer Kamahl has just announced a New Zealand concert tour to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the release of his first album, A Voice to Remember.

From the stages of Carnegie Hall, the London Palladium and top Las Vegas casinos to the Sydney Opera House, Kamahl has performed before millions of people around the world including a Royal Command Performance for Queen Elizabeth.

The 72 year old has a career that has outlasted that of many seasoned performers. With over 80 Gold & Platinum records awarded, some 50 albums released & number one hits around the world, Kamahl is the ultimate entertainer.

The Elephant Song achieved phenomenal success across Europe. In New Zealand, The Boy from Dundee, recorded with The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, was a number one hit & Kamahl was awarded Song of the Year.

“The New Zealand public were so supportive of my albums and concerts, it will be wonderful to return", said Kamahl.

The eleven venue tour will include concerts in Auckland, Whangarei, Hamilton, Tauranga, Kerikeri, Dunedin, Timaru, Christchurch, Wellington and Napier.

Always a popular performer and a sensational international recording star , Kamahl will perform a selection of his greatest hits, including The Boy From Dundee, the Elephant Song, All I have To Offer and Amazing Grace.

In recent years Kamahl has made a name for himself with a younger audience through appearances at the Australian Big Day Out rock festivals and a collaboration with the Wiggles.

Don't miss this opportunity to see a truly remarkable entertainer, live in concert for what will be a memorable performance.
