Vodafone Homegrown Posted: Mon Nov 19, 2007 1:21 pm Vodafone Homegrown - April 26th - Wellington Waterfront It’s going to be a Monster! On Saturday April 26th the Wellington Waterfront will be transformed for the inaugural Vodafone Homegrown festival and it’s shaping up to be the mother of all summer gigs. Vodafone Homegrown will feature 5 stages set along the waterfront with 35 of the best Rock, Pop, Indie, Dub, Roots and Dance acts our fair country has to offer. If you have any doubts about what’s in store, here’s a taste of who is already confirmed; Shihad, Pluto, The Mint Chicks, The Checks, OpShop, The Feelers, Goodnight Nurse, Motocade, Kora, Salmonella Dub, Concord Dawn, Ladi 6, Dick Johnson, Minuit, Tiki and The Phoenix Foundation. With only half the acts released the line-up is already looking IMPRESSIVE and the promoters are promising plenty more to come when the final announcement is made in late January. In true Wellington fashion expect a festival oozing culture and overflowing with peripheral entertainment, interactive activities, art installations and street performers. The festival falls on a long weekend giving you plenty of time to get to the capital, all stages are covered if the weather gets out of hand and with early bird tickets only $60 it’s a gig you can’t afford to miss! Tickets are available from Ticketek or for more information visit www.homegrown.net.nz |
