He would probably have mentioned it when we spoke, so no, nothing at this stage.

It's very rare ChCh gets something like that, so I think they wanna keep it that way, to make the even more exclusive. What's the point in having a main attraction when people could wait and see them elsewhere in the country? You'd lose ticket sales.

Hell yeah.

Chuck Billy = Best voice in thrash, in my opinion. One of my biggest influences anway.

Hahaha, yeah. And he doesn't have to sing through his fist to get that grunt like these little grommets in camo pants and singlets do these days Laughing

Yea, Testament for SouthernAmp. Just posted on Joe Satriani in the Naki in July and just got phoned to say Alex Skolnick from Testament is playing too. Looks like a big guitar festival!!

No idea until they make the announcement.

I did the artwork for last years' festival... not 100% if I'm doing it this year but the promotor hinted that probably would be the case.

But I'm not allowed to divulge info until it's 100% official.

Goddamn I've listened to NOTHING but Testament ALL WEEK. Every album.

It's rare for me to prefer a classic bands NEWER material.. but holy goddamn balls, "Low" and "The Gathering" are just amazing.

Will see how it all goes.

If only dude, I have zero influence on the choice of bands playing there. I gotta get a copy of that demo anyway though!

Just remember Southern Amp isn't a metalfest, it encompasses all genres.

Well the New Zealand date is no longer on their website.

It wasn't 100% confirmed anyway, as I've always known.
