Goodnight Nurse and Streetwise Scarlet
Posted: Thu May 15, 2008 4:47 pm
Its already been a massive year for GOODNIGHT NURSE, with their hit single ‘The Night’ being played non-stop over radio and their second studio album ‘Keep Me On Your Side’ debuting at #5 on the NZ charts – its no wonder they are itching to get out and thrash these songs in front of their fans…

The last few years have brought good times for Goodnight Nurse - they’ve had a Top 40 single every year since 2004 and their debut album ‘Always and Never’ went GOLD in it’s first week of release. They’ve won the MTV Australia Video Music Award for ‘NZ Viewers Choice’ and the Juice TV ‘Best Breakthrough Video’ and ‘Best Rock Video’ awards. And their myspace page is the most prolific in the country, with over 1 milllion views and over 2 million song plays to date! 2007 also brought major changes, with the original bass player leaving the group and two new members joining.

As lead singer and guitarist Joel Little explains: “It was a really hard time, but in a strange way it was an exciting time too. We didn’t know

what was going to happen next, but Jaden and I knew that we wanted to do things bigger and better than before, both in terms of the songs

that we wrote and our live show. So it became a challenge to ourselves to prove we could do it, and really push our own boundaries.”

“With the bands transformation since we last toured, we’re really now just looking forward to getting out there and playing the songs live, and hopefully spreading some of the incredible energy that the band are feeling right now.”

Support on these shows will be from pop rock act STREETWISE SCARLET. Also with an exhausting past year, including the NZ Schools Tour, opening for Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance, cracking the charts with their single ‘Hey O’ and still finding time to record their first album (recorded & produced by Justyn Pilbrow of Elemeno P).

A live show promising energy & chaos – you will not be disappointed… get your tickets now!
