Life Festival 2008 - Max Romeo, Finlay Quaye and Trojan Soundsystem

With less than a week to go to Ireland's Best Dance Festival (2007), Neutronyx are delighted to announce that extra tickets have now been released for LIFE FESTIVAL 2008

As construction and excitement builds on the beautiful grounds of Lough Cutra Castle, Gort, Co. Galway, due to site improvements and expanded capacity, the organisers have extended the number of ticket on sale. You owe it to yourself and to your Life to grab this opportunity. Weekend tickets are available now for €130. If you like to leave things to the last minute, fret not, LIFE will have a limited amount of tickets on the gate.

As LIFE is for living, we will not be selling day passes, as once you enter, you will not want to leave!
Thousands of festival goers are making their final preparations to join the Friends of Life this weekend. Music lovers, groovers, shakers and makers will certainly not be left dissapointed as an extraordinary collection of musicians are preparing to give all, the time of their LIFE.
Reggae fans will be thrilled by the amazing musical skills from greats such as Max Romeo, the legendary Finlay Quaye (back after 10years!!!) and UK masters Trojan Soundsystem, all of whom will perfom in the wonderful Amphitheatre, along with Irelands own Wiggle from the peoples republic of Cork, and many more live acts covering genres from trad to Kelzmer and everything in between.

Psytrance lovers from all over the world are making the trip to see psychedelic pioneers Shpongle and Hallucinogen give their first Irish performances, this is a rare and wonderous occassion that no discerning music lover should miss. The Neutronyx stage will play host to some of the top acts in the psychedlic scene, covering all sub genres including progressive, full-on and dark. Legends such as D-Nox and Beckers, Dino Psarras, Dejavoo, Loopus in Fabula, Penta and many more will keep you stomping from Dawn to Dusk and back again.

Returning this year are the popular Breakology and Minimal Zen stages. Homegrown acts such as Produse, Alloy Mental and Lectrosoul will join international acts Coldcut, DJ Marky, Noisia and Mala (amongst others) in the Breakology tent, entertaining us with electronica, big beats, breaks and dub-step.Whilst over in the Minimal Zen tent, 3 days of acid house, minimal techno, deep house and even some oldskool to wrap it all up will be provided by musical maestros such as, Dark Mockery, Al Keegan, Corrugated Tunnel, Philth, Accii Disco DJs and many many more from here and afar.

At the Connected bar, live music fans will be entertained by bands such as Channel ONE, Lights, Sickboy and Sounds of System Breakdown and in the evenings will be entertained by DJ's from Automated, Hospital, Weird Scientist and many more, just be sure to drop in and tune out....
And when maybe you feel in need of a little rest and relaxation, why not take a mosey to the lake shores? There you will find the wonderful Healing Area. Lined with Teepees and yurts, a host of remedies, cures and pure bliss will be offered by specialists in reiki, indian head massage, yoga and many other alternative therapies. Before making your way to the arts and crafts area (to learn or observe), why not take in a one of the circus performances , contact and fire jugglers, clowns and more at the Performance Ring. Having taken this tour, you will no doubedtly want to express yourself and dance again, so to get you on your way, pop into the Eden Lake arena. Here you will be swayed back into the groove with chillout tunes, ambient, ethnic and dub basses, provided by Kuba, Mixile, Ocelot and a host other blissed out and chillaxed DJ's from around the globe.
The 3 day event can truly offer you everything you need in Life. The site has ample camping, showers, toilets. An array of healthy and appetising foods will be on offer and cocktail bars and off-licences offering only the best to wash it down. All this plus the beautiful surroundings of Lough Cutra Lake, Castle and trees, what more could you ask for from Life?
