Concord Dawn and Uprising Present: Twilight Posted: Wed Jul 2, 2008 3:37 pm Concord Dawn and Uprising Present: Twilight... A Gig and A Mix CD, A Mix CD and A Gig Over the last few years Concord Dawn have become more and more in demand for parties all over the world. 2008 has already seen gigs in Australia, Russia, Italy, Hungary, Slovakia, America, Canada, Poland, Switzerland, Ukraine, England, Belgium and China! And the year ain’t even done yet. But New Zealand is a special wee place in a league of its own, and so August 2008 sees a drum & bass tour like never before, covering a huge chunk of the country in sweat and smiles. So it is thus that we present you: "TWILIGHT": A GIG AND A MIX CD, A MIX CD AND A GIG. The mix CD has a tear off ticket which gets you into the gig OR your ticket has a tear off Mix CD. Either way you look at it you get something for free! Featuring a bunch of EXCLUSIVE Concord Dawn tunes as well as tracks from the Uprising Drum & Bass label, you won’t be able to buy this CD anywhere else so if you don’t come, you’re an egg. And if all that CD excitement wasn’t enough, there will be special guests along the way as well…. DKAY is Austria’s premier drum & bass producer. His track ‘Barcelona’ is one of the few dnb tunes to ever break into the British Top 20. Since then he has gone on to write tunes for nearly every major label on the scene, from Virus to Soul:R to Metalheadz, 31 Records to Bingo, Hospital to Penetration to Commercial Suicide and everywhere inbetween. Hands down the most diverse producer in drum and bass. With the release of his last LP "Individual Soul", he used jazz musicians to create one of the freshest and most original LP’s for years. In addition, he runs Ill Skillz Recordings as well as his Brigand Music Imprint. Jay Pots AKA Bulletproof needs no introduction to Kiwi dnb audiences. Head honcho of Cyanide Recordings, bad man behind the decks and one of the pioneers of dnb in NZ. And not content with merely being one of the original dons of jungle in NZ, Jay has been pushing the envelope of Kiwi dubstep as well. It is with great pleasure that we take this critically acclaimed producer of ‘Dark Times – Desperate Measures’ on the road for this tour. Aaaaaaaaaaaaand if that wasn’t enough, there will be Jagermeister giveaways on the night too. So what are you waiting for, this will be your only chance to get a hold of a whole bunch of these tunes. AUGUST 1ST @ DETROIT BAR, PALMERSTON NORTH AUGUST 2ND @ SOHO, GISBORNE AUGUST 8TH @ BAHAMA HUT, HAMILTON AUGUST 9TH @ BASEMENT, NEW PLYMOUTH AUGUST 12TH @ SHOOTERS, WANAKA AUGUST 13TH @ SUBCULTURE, QUEENSTOWN AUGUST 14TH @ SUBCULTURE, QUEENSTOWN AUGUST 15TH @ BACKSTAGE, DUNEDIN AUGUST 16TH @ THE CIVIC, CHRISTCHURCH AUGUST 21ST @ PHAT CLUB, NELSON AUGUST 22ND @ SAN FRANCISCO BATHHOUSE, WELLINGTON AUGUST 23RD @ ZEN, AUCKLAND AUGUST 28TH @ CABANA, NAPIER AUGUST 29TH @ COLOSEUM, TAURANGA AUGUST 30TH @ KINGS, OHAKUNE |
