Dick Johnson - www.myspace.com/magikjmusic
As a teenager Dick ‘Magik’ Johnson landed his own room DJing at Manchester’s legendary Hacienda club, before long he was producing tracks for Cream’s Olympic label, New Order’s Pleasure Recordings and Manchester’s Paper Recordings collective. From there he launched his own highly respected label Shaboom, releasing artists such as UBU, Joeski & Onionz, Fred Everything, Doc Martin and DJ Sneak.

Other releases of late include ‘Scanning For Viruses’ on Jesse Roses' Made to Play, ‘Eastern Lights’ on Nic Fanciulli’s Saved and ‘Asylum Sneaker’ on King Unique's Curfew label. Along with releases on such influential imprints as Made To Play, Twisted, End Recordings, Saved, Underwater, Paper Recordings, KG Beats and NRK/Honchos and his own digital label Majiktrax.

Prolific in the studio his catalogue of remixes include The Crookers, Spektrum, Worthy, Ian Pooley, Crazy Penis, Dj Sneak, Joey Negro, Q-Burns, Human League, Neon Heights, Nick Holder, Darko Esser, The Bionics, Onionz, The Karoshi Brothers, 30HZ and Bassnectar.

Content with confinement to his Auckland studio? No. It’s a rare weekend indeed that Majik is not behind the decks electrifying a crowd of dedicated followers, testing these tunes on dancefloors from Russia to Argentina and most points in between.

Dick Knee - www.georgefm.co.nz/show9.html
This 28-year-old has a broadcasting career stretching back over 15 years: in alternative Auckland radio since he was a teen, and then onto a TV career that includes stints with Max TV, Juice TV, TVNZ's M2, and to the present day, C4, where he was recently seen on the incredible music travel show Making Tracks, which he wrote, co-directed and presented.

That show has recently been picked up by National Geographic worldwide. Like music, travel is something close to Nick's heart and he has also worked with the Red Bull Music Academy at events from Rome to South Africa.

George FM is ecstatic to have teamed up with Nick in 2009 to bring a thrilling new radio show to the New Zealand airwaves. Expect it to be action-packed, filled with features, interviews, and a broad spectrum of quality music, all delivered with Nick's trademark energy and exuberance.

Aroha - www.georgefm.co.nz/show84.html
Since listening to her Mum's punk records as a kid in home town Masterton, Aroha's passion for music (and desire to get out of dodge) has developed into a fully fledged career in broadcasting.

From the heady days of hosting shows and volunteering at Wellington's Radio Active 89FM, Aroha has since gone on to hosting on PBS FM in Melbourne, producing music documentaries for Radio New Zealand National, and hosting a Drive show and holding down the PD role at Auckland's 95bFM. You can also find her DJing around town and on the telly - she used to host Alt TV's flagship new music show "Fresh Produce", but you can now see (and hear) her interviewing local musos on Juice TV's NZown show.

2009 also sees Aroha joining the George FM whanau, bringing her extensive knowledge and experience to Tuesday Drive 4-6pm.
