Sonic Delusion album release with Ben Dixon Posted: Wed Oct 21, 2015 11:19 am "uplifting, polished and feel good tracks...hints of Latin, lashings of funk and an abundance of fiery folk" - Taranaki Daily News #15 in the NZ Album charts. Sonic Delusion is launching their new album "Without Warning" together with a new beer from Mike's Brewery with the same name created and inspired by this new album. More about the album: Without Warning is an album that pays homage to the relentless churn of circumstance - and celebrates the lucky breaks that we sometimes stumble upon. Warm and upbeat, Sonic Delusion’s folk is uplifting, with inspiring stories to match. “The man who missed the boat” is the story of a man who missed the fatal sailing of the Titanic,” says frontman Andre Manella. The title track and single “Without Warning” tips its cowboy hat to the freedom of life on the road. “I don’t speak French” is a whimsical Latin-flavoured number, which leaps straight from its folk attire into something brightly feathered. Sonic Delusion is joined by fellow Taranaki bandmates Missie Moffat (percussion, vocals) and Severin Thiebaut (bass, keys) on Without Warning. The independently released album was partly funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign which sold deluxe house concerts to fans from New Plymouth and Zurich. It was recorded at The Surgery in Wellington and co-produced by the esteemed Dr Lee Prebble. To hear Sonic Delusion’s music, please check www.sonic-delusion.com.
