Maiden Events presents the
STOP DROP AND ROCK FEST 04
27TH-28TH November in WHAKATANE!

27th November:
@ the Whakatane Cyber Cafe (Rockpit, Canning Place)
5th Threat, St Hildegard, Arbidday, Task One, The Cinix, Cheap For a Reason and All for Nothing.
All Ages, $5 at the door. cds, patches, badges for sale as well.
No drugs or alcohol in or around venue though! Starts 7pm!!!

28th November;
@ the Whakatane Rugby Park (Domain Road)
Sommerset, The Bleeders, Stardrunk, The Offbeats, The Rabble, Arbidday, Mission Gizzard, Bad Jelly and Four Petesake
All Ages, $8 for a ticket (email [email protected] for more info how to buy one) or there are also $10 gate sales on the day.
All tickets go into a prize draw for a whole lot of goodies that will be drawn at the end of the day.
As well as the live music, there is also a performance car display, break dancing, stalls, food, band merch and more!
No Drugs or alcohol in or around venue! GATES OPEN AT 11.30am! STARTS 12pm until 8pm!!!!!

Whakatane to host NZ music festival

Whakatane will be hosting some of New Zealand’s top bands in one of the biggest rock festivals ever planned for the Eastern Bay of Plenty.

Stop, Drop and Rock Fest ’04 will feature music from Sommerset, The Bleeders, The Offbeats, and Stardrunk, and will run over two days on the 27th and 28th of November.

The Festival kicks off on the Saturday night with a line-up of eight bands including Auckland bands 5th Threat, St Hildegrad, The Clinix, Taskone and All for nothing, Rotorua band Cheap for a Reason and local Whakatane bands Arbidday and Nameless. The Saturday night gig will be held at Whakatane’s youth center and tickets are $5 at the door.

The Stop, Drop and Rock Fest 04 continues on to the Sunday where Whakatane’s Rugby Park will be hosting top kiwi bands Sommerset, The Bleeders, Stardrunk and The Offbeats. Supporting these top acts will be up and coming bands The Rabble and Mission Gizzard (both from Auckland), as well as local bands Arbidday, Bad Jelly and Four petesake.

The Sunday concert will run from 12noon- 8pm, and will be featuring stalls, car displays, breakdancing and merchandise sales. Tickets for the day concert are $8 presale or $10 at the gate.

The whole festival is aimed at all age groups and drugs and alcohol will be banned from both concerts.

The Stop, Drop and Rock Fest 04 is aimed at providing the Whakatane community with low-cost quality entertainment. This is the first time anything of its kind has reached the Eastern Bay and the organisers are hoping it will become an annual event.
