In 2008, Midnight Kitchen was formed. In a little flat on Ness Street in Invercargill, a bunch of likeminded musician friends gathered around to combat the cold and lift the spirits. Jo Little (singer/songwriter), JR Richardson (bassist/audio engineer) teamed up with drummer friend Glen Kellett (Trash Out
Fridays). Since their formation Midnight Kitchen has performed at Southland venues such as: Tillerman's, Saints and Sinners, The Musician's Club, Backstage in Dunedin, as well as live on Radio Southland, In the same year they won their region for the 'KFC Sounds of your home town competition' and made it into the finals of Invercargill's Bandwars. Now in 2009, with new member Daniel Monteath (artist/songwriter) on Keys and vocals, Midnight Kitchen is finishing up their debut EP, which they will be promoting this summer as they tour New Zealand, for the first time.
