Edinburgh Street and Starlight Present
Luger Boa & Black River Drive
Together in one Smash Explosive Show with special guests Villainy
One of the biggest NZ Rock tours of 2010 was the State of Rock Tour, featuring both Luger Boa and Black River Drive, so by popular demand the 2 bands are joining forces again for a one off show on Sunday June 05, 2011 (Queens Birthday Weekend), proudly brought to you by Pukekohe’s hottest new venue, Edinburgh Street bar, and Auckland Promoter Starlight Entertainment.
This is a rare opportunity to see 2 of New Zealand's finest Rock N Roll bands together on one stage in an intimate setting.
Luger Boa is all about Loud Guitars and Big Choruses and they have been taking their Original, Exciting and Deadly live show to audiences all over NZ since the release of their debut album 'Mutate Or Die' in 2008. Mutate or Die gave you the singles ‘What Is Real’, ‘On My Mind’, ‘I Wanna Girlfriend’ and ‘1000 Hooks’, songs which blew the eardrums of Radio listeners and live punters alike.
With their 2nd album 'New Hot Nights' set for release on May 2nd, Luger Boa will doing everything but holding back on stage.
"Live, Luger Boa is like being dipped in mustard and interrogated by the devil.... loud guitars and mammoth melodic choruses...and new tracks, Lazy, New Hot Nights and Paralyzed, off their upcoming album show the Luger Boa to be coiled, tongues flickering and ready to impress."
- The Christchurch Press
Black River Drive's debut album Perfect Flaws (released Oct 4th 2010) delivers in spades Black River Drive's potent mix of vicious, relentless rock alongside moments of calm clarity. Featuring the massive singles, ‘Bullet For Your Gun’ (#1 across rock radio for 5 weeks in March 2010), ‘Call The Doctor’ (#1 in October 2010) and the new song ‘15 Minutes’, Black River Drive have quickly carved themselves a niche at the forefront of NZ Rock.
These Auckland Rockers effortlessly take their energy from the studio to the stage with crushing guitars and a thunderous rhythm section. This will be a show guaranteed to leave people talking.
“Hard-hitting and solidly constructed 'Perfect Flaws' is just what the doctor ordered.”
