Singer songwriter Kieran Cooper has thrown in his day job and is hitting the road for three solid months of touring New Zealand. With 24 shows booked to date it is ambitious and will place Kieran before audiences from the Bay Of Islands down to Riverton and all between.
Kieran started his career with the 2011 release ‘In Search Of Reason’ which leaned toward alternative rock with hints of industrial music. Since then he has switched to an alternative singer songwriter style which was evident in his second independent album ‘Yes, No, Sincerely’.
Yes, No, Sincerely has received radio play and the song ‘All Roads Have An End’ is featured in independent American film ‘Tahi – The Human Journey’. Kieran has done live to air appearances on 95Bfm and Kiwi FM. Yes, No, Sincerely was also made ‘Album Of The Week’ on Kiwi FM’s I.A.N show (Indie, Alternative and new) in April 2012. Flat FM’s Greenhouse Hour show featured Kieran in their ‘My Music’ segment on August 11 2012, saying “An accomplished guitarist with amazing lyrics…Kieran displays all the attributes of becoming one of NZ’s most successful acoustic singer-songwriters.”.
With the momentum from the albums reception, Kieran is hitting the road to become a full time musician, making a living from shows and busking to reach new audiences and improve his performances. With an albums worth of new material which delves deeper into the singer songwriter style ala Kristin Hersh, Elliott Smith and Ryan Adams, Kieran aims to win audiences over with well crafted songs and honest, moving lyrics.
