Auckland’s Yukon Era and Palmerston North’s Soda Boyz have announced a double release tour, promoting Yukon Era’s new single Consume and Scratch and Soda Boyz’s debut EP By Soda Boyz. After playing together numerous times in Palmy and Auckland, it seemed only right that the bands celebrated their new releases with a nation-wide New Zealand tour.
Consume and Scratch is Yukon Era’s first offering following the release of their debut self-titled EP. The track is a great example of a band growing up, with their sound maturing with age and practice. This time the band decided to head into The Lab and spent three days recording with producer Olly Harmer. The result is their next EP which is expected to be released later this year, via new label Morningstar. The single will be released on July 18th, and available on a limited edition USB, with unreleased songs, videos, and photos.
After the releases of multiple singles, Soda Boyz have finally put together their much anticipated debut EP, entitled By Soda Boyz. The EP captures some of the best tracks that the boys have put together over the past few years of playing together, and emulate a very energetic, but musically thorough sound. Recorded in their hometown at The Stomach, Soda Boyz are set to release their latest offerings yet. Sadly the band will not be playing the Auckland shows.
